Installation Steps:

Step 1: Positioning the Upright Frames

• Carefully position the upright frames at the desired location for your shelving system.

• Ensure the frames are aligned parallel to each other and have the appropriate spacing.

Step 2: Installing Shelf Beams

• Starting at the lowest position, insert the first shelf beam into the corresponding slots on both upright frames.

• Use a rubber mallet to gently tap the beam near the joint, securing it in place.

• Repeat this process for each shelf beam, ensuring equal spacing between them.

Step 3: Adding Beam Locking Pins

• Install a beam locking pin into each end of every shelf beam used. This ensures the beams remain securely in place.

• Insert the locking pins into the designated holes on the beams and secure them firmly.

Step 4: Installing Decking Material

• Depending on your specific shelving system, add the appropriate decking material onto the beams.

• For particleboard decks, place them onto the top inner lip of each pair of beams.

• If using wire decks or galvanized shelves, position them similarly.

Step 5: Leveling and Alignment

• Use a level to ensure the shelving system is straight and level. If levelling plates are required contact your local United Racking branch)

• Make any necessary adjustments to ensure the system is plumb and level

​

Step 6: Optional Floor Fixings

• For added stability, you may choose to secure the upright frames to the floor using appropriate floor fixings.

• Use expansion bolts for concrete surfaces or screws for wood surfaces.

• Floor fixings are optional accessories and not supplied as standard.

Step 7: Load Rating Stickers

• If you have purchased load rating stickers you can now stick them on the beams in a visible location. 

• These stickers display important load capacity information for each level.
